Fletcher, North Carolina is a small town located in the western part of the state, just south of Asheville. It is known for its scenic views and outdoor recreation opportunities, as well as its close-knit community. To gain a better understanding of what it's like to live in Fletcher, let's take a look at some user reviews from BestPlaces.net.

According to user "Michelle," Fletcher is "a charming town with friendly people and a great location." She goes on to say that the small town feel and beautiful surroundings make it the perfect place to raise a family.

Another user, "John," writes that Fletcher is "a quiet and peaceful community with a strong sense of community pride." He also praises the town's low crime rate and good schools.

However, not all reviews are positive. "Sarah" shares that while she loves the natural beauty of Fletcher, she has found it difficult to find job opportunities in the area.

"Mark" expresses his frustration with the growing population in Fletcher, saying that it has brought about an increase in traffic and development that has taken away from the town's small town charm.

Fletcher NC annual snowfall is about 14" on averag - 6/4/2010
Hi Again, just a final note on this subject for now; The site here inducates a annual average of 3.6" which is likely a typo dropping of the 10. I've lived here since 1996, the least year snow total was about 4" and the most this past winter 2009-2010 was 38" that is thirty eight inches. Once again the average should be about Read More

Total Snowfall 2009-2010 - 5/2/2010
Updating as we are well into spring. The total Snowfall this winter is just over 38 inches, that is Thirty-Eight inches, the average here is around 13" with a seasonal range from 4"-38" since 1996. This website states 4" as the average, it's much more, just to let anyone interested in this area. We get 4 solid seasons, a rather pleasant warm summer for the south due to our elevation. The hottest will come in around 92-96, most days in mid summer from about 77-86 . Winters are cold, with both periods of bitter cold and mild weather in January high temps can be as cold as 20 degrees or as warm as 70. The coldest temps are usually between -5 and plus 5. Sperling's site has a lot of wrong info on snowfall totals that seem to be lower rather than Read More

Snowfall average is wrong, the annual average is 1 - 2/23/2010
Hi All, just want you to know this (3.6") figure given on this site is totally wrong, Sperling's has Arden NC a neighboring city at 13.7" annual which is correct, I'm figuring they've dropped the TEN of the 13?...anyway, the 2 towns are only a mile or 2 apart and less than 50 feet elevation change. I've lived here since 1996, the least snowfall year was around 4" and the most; this year we have had 30" (that is 2-1/2 feet!)so far as of Feb 23rd 2010 and we are expecting more, annual average should be around 13-14" for anyone Read More

Average annual Snowfall - 6/29/2009
Historic Average is about 13", lived here since 1996, least snowfall year was about 4-6" most about 15-20" in town...your info is very hit and miss and seems to come from multiple sources, at least standardize it from the weather folks! Even if totals have fallen off the average is much more than Read More
